TAKING PASSION BY STORM BY RAVENNA TATE

Title: Taking Passion by Storm
Series: The Weathermen Book #6
Author: Ravenna Tate
Genre: Erotic, Futuristic, Sci Fi Romance
Pages: 147
Publisher: Evernight Publishing

SYNOPSIS:  When Nadine Jarvis’s father disappears in a tornado on the surface during his Storm Trooper duties, life-long friend Addison Carlyle puts together a search team.  Nadine convinces him to let her come along, where she embarks on a journey that changes her life forever.

Addison is part of a group of friends financing the efforts to put a stop to the Madeline Project.  The program now has a mind of its own, thanks to a virus called Tommy Twister.  These men have power, resources, and money, but they’re as ruthless and possessive as the storms ravaging Earth.

They call themselves the Weathermen.

REVIEW:  This is the 6th book in the Weathermen series. Nadine Jarvis has been hiding out at the same job and same home since her attack that only the school and police know about. She hasn’t even told her father. He is a storm trooper and is working on the surface when a tornado comes up and he is separated from his group.

Addison Carlyle is a member of the Weathermen group that are all working to find out who has the Madeline project and trying to stop it. They want to be able to one day return to the surface. He has to deliver the horrible news to Nadine and decides to form a search party and go up to find her father. Nadine decides that it would be unbearable to wait underground for news about her father. He is the only family she has left. She tells Addison that she is going with them and Addison understands that it is something she has to do.

Addison has fought his attraction for Nadine ever since he met her as a teenager. He is good friends with her dad and has always kept his distance. Now the woman who is in front of him is playing havoc on his senses. Nadine has been attracted to Addison also. They can’t fight the pull between them and they get separated from their group on the surface and wind up in a cave alone. They are so into each other and it is only a matter of time before they are sleeping together.

His crew gets to their cave and tells them that they found Nadine’s’ dad’s camera. They had a lead and were going to find him.

You will have to read the story to find out if Nadine finds her father and will Addison and Nadine have a chance at a happy ending.

I loved this story. Ravenna Tate has done it again. I love the story and she continues to build on it with each new member of the Weathermen that she unveils. I love that they all are so focused on their work that they aren’t looking for love and it happens to be right in front of them.
I can’t wait until the next book to see what happens in this story and I hope it is even more exciting than this book.

I highly recommend it.

ECHOES OF THE PAST BY EMMA KAYE

Title: Echoes of the Past

Series: Lobster Cove
Author: Emma Kaye
Genre: Paranormal Romance, Time travel, Witches
Pages: 153
Publisher: Wild Rose Publishing

SYNOPSIS: In 1692, Isabeau Munier cast a spell to flee Lobster Cove and escape burning at the stake for witchcraft.  Instead, she’s trapped by a curse that tosses her through time whenever she attempts to leave the small town.  With her curiosity shop and Great Dane familiar, Isabeau has finally found her place in time.  When her landlord’s sexy nephew moves in, she thinks she may have found Mr. Right as well.

Grayson Wright’s intrigued by the beautiful Isabeau, but a friend’s accusations make him worry Isabeau took advantage of his beloved uncle.  Gray’s determined to learn the truth, even at the risk of losing his heart.

Can Isabeau prove she’s not the gold-digger Gray fears and that her love for him is true?  Can Gray learn to trust his heart, which tells him Isabeau’s the perfect woman for him? Or will Isabeau’s curse take the chance away from them both?

REVIEW: Isabeau is a witch from another century and instead of escaping Lobster Cove and being burned at the stake. She is trapped in Lobster Cove but just jumps through time when she tries to leave Lobster Cove. Fortunately for her she meets a great guy named Stan Wright. He is always there for her when she turns up in different times. She actually sees the guy grow to a young man. Now however he has passed away and his nephew Grayson has come to see about his uncle’s affairs including the house and the shop Isabeau rents out.

Grayson is skeptical about Isabeau and with the help of a family friend, Sherri he thinks Isabeau has taken advantage of his uncle and he wants to find out the truth. Grayson moves in to the house where Isabeau has an apartment and slowly gets to know his uncle and Isabeau. He finds himself thinking about her and wanting her. Isabeau is trying to keep Grayson from finding out she is a witch so she offers to help him clean out the attic.

In this process they start to fall for each other. Isabeau hasn’t had any male companionship in many years and is afraid to let her guard down but sharing living space as well as a bathroom can be a little tricky.

When Sherri goes into premature labor, Isabeau tries to help and Sherri won’t have any of it. She calls the ambulance and goes to the hospital where the husband and Grayson have showed up. Grayson is torn between his heart and his brain telling him to believe in Isabeau.

He goes to chase after her and she disappears before his eyes. He finally starts to believe the rantings of his uncle and knows he loves Isabeau and has to get her back.  He searches for the book where is uncle kept all the spells and he has Sherri help him perform the spell. He hopes it isn’t the last time he sees Isabeau. After Sherri recites the chant she is exhausted and needs rest. Grayson doesn’t know if it worked so he waits to find out. Read on to see if Grayson and Isabeau get their happy ending.

I really enjoyed this book. I am usually not one for the time travel but it wasn’t the focus of the book and it had to be shown at times to keep the story moving along. I like how Isabeau is a witch but she is a good witch and sometimes it is hard for people to understand there is always good and bad in everything. I also liked Grayson being so concerned about his uncle being taken advantage of but also how he had a huge heart and wanted to believe in Isabeau and the love he felt for her.

I would recommend this book.

Can you have love and power at the same time? At 19, Christiana Snow is about to find out. Always uncertain and shy, a chance encounter with Congressman Jonathan Brond could finally fulfill her longing for adventure. He proposes a summer of sexual submission that proves to be both rewarding and dangerous.

Jonathan, seductive and selfish, lures Christiana to his country home where he blindfolds and lashes her to his bed, slowly awakening her senses and her natural submissive desires.

He promises her many more unimagined pleasures over long, hot Washington summer weekends. But she must be his exclusively and keep their relationship secret – especially from her father, Peter Snow, a well- known political reporter. Christiana agrees, sure her father would sacrifice even his daughter for a good story. He has never been the same since Christiana's mother died many years ago.

When Peter leaves Washington to cover the presidential primaries in neighboring states, Christiana believes it's a sign from the Universe that she is free to explore with no one watching her back. But is she?

Christiana’s friend and budding socialite Avery Churchill has set her sights on Jonathan, sure they would be perfect together. Beautiful and vain Avery is not used to losing, and Christiana finds keeping her relationship with Jonathan from Avery, difficult at best.

While Christiana’s courage - and desires - grow under Jonathan’s intense sexual instruction, involving hard spankings, silk gags and being taken, everywhere, she wonders if she can keep up. Then when Jonathan uncovers other facets of his mountain home, revealing hidden, suspension units and unique sexual desires, she finally has to admit Jonathan’s proclivities may have a dark side.

Curvy Persuasion by Aidy Award

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0990406032?keywords=curvy%20persuasion&qid=1446747920&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

Title: Curvy Persuasion

Author: Aidy Award

Genre:  Erotic, BBW, BDSM

Pages: 104

Publisher: Coffee Break Publishing

SynopsisCurvy Girls Write Their Own Happy Ever Afters. Eden Stone has one last chance to revive her writing career. She's promised her editor a new erotic romance novel, but with three weeks until her deadline and not a word written she needs some major inspiration, the kind she can only find in her fantasies or at Devils and Angels, the local BDSM club. She meets Tall, Dark and Cowboy, who has a thing for pretty, plump, nerdy girls, especially if they're willing to submit to him in front of a crowd. But, he'll have to persuade this sexy author to give him more than her submission, he wants her heart too. This BBW erotic romance plays with BDSM power exchange, some hot exhibition and a good hard pinch of Jane Austen romanticism. If you like dominant alpha males with a streak of Dominant cowboy in them and curvy heroines with a dirty sexy submissive side you’ll love Curvy Persuasion.

Review : I love to try new authors and this was a great short story to see if I would like the Curvy Love series. I have to say I absolutely loved it.

Eden is an author and needs to get rid of her writers block so to speak. She is supposed to be writing an erotic romance novel and hasn't gotten anywhere with that. She has decided that maybe she should do some "research" for the book she needs to write and goes to a BDSM Club. She didn't realize that she would love this new side to herself. She was excited by all the things she saw and was surprised to find someone who was interested in her. He takes her on a journey at the club and she loves it. She submits to him there but she guards her heart. If only she could trust someone.

When Mr. Cowboy runs out on her in the middle of the club she is left wondering what had happened. Little did she know Mr. Cowboy knew her and had been interested in speaking to her for awhile. Mr. Cowboy is Sawyer Jameson. He not only is a dominant at the club Devils and Angels but he teaches Literature of the American West. He has seen Eden at the coffee shop by the university for several weeks now.

This story is really good. I love that Eden is trying to write about a subject that she knows little about. She actually goes to a club to learn more about it. Also learn more about herself and her likes. I also like Sawyer who comes off as a wonderful dominant but you find out he is also a wonderful man in the story.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Aidy Award at a conference and I am pleased to say this book doesn't disappoint. I hope to see more of Eden and Sawyer's follow up story of what is happening in their world now. I can't wait to read the next one in the Curvy Love Series.

I gave this book 5 Flaming Hearts. I highly recommend it.

Bound & Teased by Marie Tuhart

Synopsis: Eight years ago, a naive Katie Crane ran from Ry and Jed, warned their brand of love would ruin her life. Now she's all grown up and returning home with a better understanding of the BDSM lifestyle. After the betrayal she's faced at her father's hands, she worries she won't be strong enough to submit to the men she gave her heart and virginity to at eighteen.

Jed Malloy and Ry McKade are surprised and thrilled by Katie's return to Felton's Creek. They'd been heartbroken after her departure and had turned to each other, embracing the BDSM lifestyle without her. Katie's homecoming sparks hope and worry. Ry isn’t sure he can keep his dominant side under control, and Jed fears Katie will see him as less of a man by being a switch and Ry’s submissive. Having Katie back could mean the beginning of everything they've ever wanted or the end to the only family they've ever known.

Review: Bound and Teased is such an appropriate name for this book. I was bound to this book after reading the first couple of pages. Katie comes home after 8 long yrs. away to live with her grandma. I might add that the grandma is very open minded and can be very protective of her granddaughter at times. Katie hopes that she can rekindle the fire between her and the two men she left behind.

Ry and Jed has had an ongoing relationship ever since Katie left them. Both are very dominant men but Jed needs Ry’s dominance to make him happy. They love and respect each other but they know someone is missing from their lives. It is Katie. They both are very protective of their hearts. They don’t want to get hurt again if Katie should run away. They don’t know how Katie will take it with them being truly together. They learn quickly that Katie likes it. In fact it turns her on more than they ever thought it would. They have to build her trust back and during each sex scene they seem to do just that. Katie teases us all with starting and stopping the sex scenes with the men because she has issues that are triggered from her past. But true to their words the men stop and talk her through the scene. This builds the trust back with her. It also helps her move through the past and get on with her future.

The men don’t know why Katie ran 8 yrs. ago and they don’t know why she has come back. But they will get to the bottom of it. She confesses about her father and hoping that he is the man she wants him to be. She finds out he is crooked and she wants nothing to do with him. Katie’s’ father and ex-boyfriend come looking for her and try to make her go back with them. She is very strong and stands up to them both. Both men make her happy and that is what she wants.

I enjoyed this book. This story is sizzling from the beginning and scorches through until the end. I think the love the men have for each other and Katie is beautiful. They have a relationship that the town knows about but it isn’t thrown in peoples’ faces. They are a private couple and it seems to make things work for them. Both men are great role models for the kids in the town. Jed raises horses and runs a camp for kids to learn all about them. Ry is a sheriff. Katie seems to fit in to their lives effortlessly. I would recommend this book. What a great love story filled in with some smoking sex scenes. I look forward to more books from Marie Tuhart.
