SYNOPSIS: Security specialist Travis Blake’s undercover assignment should be easy. The former Navy SEAL has to protect Cassidy O'Neal from an elusive assassin. Yet, nothing about this case is simple. For Cassidy, it’s easier to believe in ghosts than to think she’s in danger. Despite a series of unusual happenings around her apartment that make her feel uneasy, she has no idea her hot new neighbor is far more than he seems. What starts off as simple flirtation quickly turns passionate. But, as danger intensifies, more than just their hearts are on the line. Travis must do whatever it takes to protect Cassidy, including revealing who he really is.

REVIEW: Travis back from leave recuperating from a gunshot wound on the job. He works for a security agency that helps higher up people and the government when they need it. He is asked to take an assignment and he is ready to get back to work. He is assigned to protect Cassidy who will be his new neighbor. He didn’t realize how quirky and beautiful Cassidy would be.  This assignment will be harder than he thought. Not your normal job. Cassidy is eccentric to say the least. She works at a company named Smart and she also belongs to a ghost hunting group. She is in danger from the start and doesn’t realize it. People start turning up dead that have come in contact with her and the security agency starts to worry about her and what are they actually looking for. Travis’ cover is opening up a martial arts studio and he becomes friends with Cassidy right away. He chuckles to himself when he sneaks up on her in the laundry room and sees her dancing and singing. He worries because she didn’t even know he was there. Anyone could get to her. So he decides to offer self-defense classes to her. She thinks it is a good idea. Travis and Cassidy become very close. They have so much pent up sexual tension that eventually it bursts. He worries that lying to her about why he really is there is going to push her away. He isn’t allowed to say anything just yet about the job. He needs to keep her safe. I loved this story. Travis and Cassidy make a great couple together. He learns to open himself up to her and she does the same. She is so used to people making fun of her with being a ghost hunter that she is shocked when he wants to know more about it.  The secondary characters are just as good. I am sure they will turn up in the next book. This book wasn’t a cliff hanger which I like because I know what happens to the main characters at the end. I feel this book has a little bit of everything in it. There is romance, suspense, mystery, a touch of paranormal and a happily ever after at the end. I highly recommend this book.
